U.S. Veto
Once again shame on the U.S. delegation at the United Nations for using yet another veto to deny a demand from the U.N. to return property confiscated from Palestinians during a tax protest (Part A, Nov. 8) despite a yes vote from our major allies, Britain, France and Canada.
Was it the U.S. history books that taught us with utmost pride that our forefathers resisted the British by using the same policy of “no taxation without representation”?
Have we lost all ground of common understanding with all our allies all over the world when the issue is Israel? Honestly, sometimes I wonder if the U.S. votes at the U.N. are cast by remote control from Tel Aviv.
Shame on the U.S. delegation at the U.N.
