Texas Rangers pitcher Nolan Ryan, who led the majors in strikeouts last season, will tell the Texas Farm Bureau on Monday that he does not intend to run for agriculture commissioner, a published report said.
Ryan, who last month said he would return for his 23rd major league season, made the decision against the argriculture job because the end of the baseball season would have conflicted with the start of the campaign.
