NAMES IN THE NEWS : Thatcher Arrives at Camp David

Among the distinguished guests on hand to greet British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher today at Camp David was America’s First Canine. Thatcher helicoptered to the snowcapped Catoctin Mountains of Maryland for a four-hour meeting with President Bush to discuss Eastern Europe and the President’s Dec. 2-3 summit with Soviet leader Mikhail S. Gorbachev. Bush was not alone when he greeted the prime minister. Standing by his side was his wife, Barbara, and at his feet, their springer spaniel, Millie.
