Let It Be: George Harrison put the kabosh on Beatles reunion speculation Tuesday with a terse, one-sentence statement issued through Warner Bros Records: “As far as I am concerned, there won’t be a Beatles reunion as long as John Lennon remains dead.” Harrison was responding to Paul McCartney’s suggestion at a Monday press conference that he’d be receptive to getting together with Harrison and Ringo Starr. Before McCartney’s press conference, Harrison had told Musician magazine’s Mark Rowland that at this time he has “no relationship” with his former bandmate. Efforts to contact Starr for a comment on Tuesday were not successful.
