No Uniform Response to School Dress Codes
- Share via
While parents might save money by sending their kids to school in uniforms, this seems to me an alarming trend. Little girls in blouses and skirts, boys in pants and ties. This sounds like the 1950s all over again.
(This) points out how “different” girls are, not allowing them the freedom of motion that pants allow, and strangles our sons with neckties.
I would agree that there should be dress codes against short-shorts and braless tank tops. But saying that a girl must wear a skirt, well, I fought that battle years ago. Don’t do it to our grandkids or my nieces. Surely women have come further than that.
