Jefferies Group Expects Loss: Jefferies Group Inc. said as a result of the previously announced risk arbitrage losses and other trading losses associated with the volatility and turmoil in the securities markets, it expects a fourth-quarter loss. While final results will not be known until the end of the quarter, the company estimates that the loss will be in the range of 50 to 60 cents a share.
