Reeves to Be Acquired by Thames TV: Reeves Communications Corp., a New York-based television production company, said it agreed to be acquired by Britain’s Thames Television PLC for nearly $90 million. London-based Thames said its first major acquisition would give it entry into the world’s largest market for television programs. Under the agreement, a Thames subsidiary will begin a $7-a-share tender offer for all 12.7 million of Reeves’ shares outstanding. Following completion of the offer, Reeves and the Thames subsidiary will be merged.
