Pasadena : Personnel Audit Contract
PeopleWorks, a Los Angeles company, has been awarded an $81,000 contract by the Board of Directors to conduct an audit of the city’s personnel practices and procedures.
Headed by Ron Martinez, a former employee of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the company will begin work later this month to review the city’s policies and procedures in the hiring, promoting and firing of minorities and women.
The firm was among five considered by the board. The contract was approved Tuesday. The board agreed to an audit last month, after the city was accused of racist and sexist personnel policies.
