Police today arrested a man suspected of firing a shotgun into a car and injuring three teen-agers Wednesday evening at a Placentia intersection, authorities said.
Felipe Estrada, 20, was arrested at his Placentia residence and booked on suspicion of attempted murder, Placentia Police Sgt. Russ Rice said.
Believed to have been a passenger in a compact pickup, Estrada allegedly fired two shotgun blasts into a white sedan at Tafolla Street and Orangethorpe Avenue. The blasts blew out the windshield and rear window of the car, and pellets struck three teens, who were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Another teen was not injured.
Rice said the case was being investigated and may be related to gang activity.
