Carousel Exhibit at Lobby Gallery

A special carousel exhibit is featured now through Jan. 25 at the 400 S. Hope St. Lobby Gallery.

On display are carved horses, a lion, elephant, turkey and other colorfully painted animals, all historical selections from the American Carousel Museum in San Francisco. The exhibit is part of the gallery’s contribution to the Los Angeles Fine Arts in Public Spaces program.

Carvings on display, dating from the late 1800s to the early 1900s, represent the work of seven professional carrousel builders.
