ROBERT PALMER “Super Nova.” EMI Video. $16.98.

Palmer endeared himself to lecherous males everywhere with his racy “Addicted to Love” video featuring those statuesque, dispassionate brunettes as background musicians. That one isn’t in this 11-clip collection, though the two best videos--”Simply Irresistible”and the lusty “Change His Ways” cartoon--are inventive rehashes of the “Addicted to Love” concept. The rest are simply performance videos that are visually unremarkable. That simple approach fits when Palmer is in his 1940s crooner mode on the three black-and-white videos, but the contemporary bluesy-rock pieces are starved for some visual flash. As a showman, he’s as conservative as his trademark Wall-Street-broker suits.
