The late Alvin Ailey, the world-renowned black American choreographer who died 10 days ago, left the bulk of his estimated $750,000 estate to his mother, according to his will offered for probate in Manhattan Surrogate Court Monday. Under the terms of the seven-page will, made on Feb. 3, 1989, Ailey’s mother, Lula E. Cooper of Cerritos, Calif., inherits the bulk of the estate, including art objects, books and sculpture. The will also provides three other bequests of tangible property to three friends. Ailey died at 58 of a rare blood disease. The actual value of the estate is unknown, pending an appraisal.
