Thomas S. Johnson, president of Chemical Banking...

Thomas S. Johnson, president of Chemical Banking Corp. and Chemical Bank, will be named president of Manufacturers Hanover Corp. and Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. at the Dec. 19 board meetings. He will also be named a director of both organizations. Johnson, 49, will serve as a member of a newly created office of the chairman, along with John F. McGillicuddy, 59, and Edward D. Miller, 49, vice chairman. Edward A. Farley, 65, vice chairman, will retire at year-end as previously announced.
