Alpharel Talking to Firms About Merger, Acquisition

Alpharel, a struggling Camarillo-based maker of computer-data storage devices, said it has been talking with other companies and investors that might be interested in a merger with or acquisition of Alpharel.

However, the company said it has not yet received any serious indication of interest from any of the parties, which Alpharel declined to identify.

Alpharel lost $2.4 million in the third quarter that ended Sept. 30 on $1 million in revenues.
