A man who imitates singer Frank Sinatra in a one-man show said today his show, which just opened in Hollywood, will go on despite threats of a lawsuit from the entertainer’s lawyer.

Nick Edenetti said he received a letter from attorney Robert Finkelstein on Dec. 5 saying the show at the Las Palmas Theater in Hollywood is a violation of the crooner’s “trademark” and threatening legal action if he does not “cease and desist.”

As far as he knows, however, no lawsuit has been filed.

“I’ve never heard of vocal qualities being trademarks,” Edenetti said.

What is most curious about the request, Edenetti said, is that he has performed his show for more than a year in other cities, and “no one has ever (tried to) stopped us before.”

The show is a tribute to Sinatra’s career and contains nothing personal, Edenetti said. He added he is “going all the way” to fight any possible legal action.
