Olympic champion Brian Boitano of the United States and Soviet ice dancers scored the highest marks in the first professional figure skating competition ever held in the Soviet Union.
The judges awarded Boitano, gold medalist at the Calgary Olympics, 10 perfect 10.0 marks in the Challenge of Champions.
Soviet skaters Natalia Bestemianova and Andrei Bukin scored highest in the dance category with 11 perfect scores.
