Winning Lottery Ticket Sold in Newhall
One lucky player who bought a Lotto 6-49 ticket in Newhall won $1.3 million this weekend after picking five numbers plus the bonus number in the California Lottery, officials said Sunday.
After taxes, the winner will receive a check for $1.1 million, officials said.
No one picked all six regular Lotto numbers, so the jackpot is expected to grow from $4.7 million to about $10 million for Wednesday’s game.
The numbers drawn Saturday night were 16, 25, 28, 39, 40 and 43, with the bonus number, 2.
There were 188 tickets with five of six winning numbers, each worth $3,768. Another 11,033 tickets had four of six winning numbers for a payoff of $58 each.
