Gov. Mofford’s Condition Called Stable After Surgery

Gov. Rose Mofford was reported to be in stable condition Tuesday after surgery the day before to remove her gallbladder. Her surgeon said there is an “excellent chance” that the 67-year-old Democrat will be back on her feet in time to give her State of the State address on Jan. 8.
