SOUTH COUNTY : 6 Nominated to Service Academies
Six high school students have been nominated to attend service academies next year.
Air Force Academy nominees are David Jedynak of Mission Viejo High School and Donald Rolfe of San Clemente High School. Nominated to the Naval Academy are Aimee Phillips and Megan McClung from Mission Viejo High School, Scott Josselyn from Trabuco Hills High School and Christopher Lohr from San Clemente High School.
The students were nominated by U.S. Rep. Ron Packard (R-Carlsbad), whose district includes part of South County. The academies must still give final approval to the candidates.
