Rumors Fly and Disappoint: Middle Eastern rock fans feel cheated after their hopes soared on rumors that Pink Floyd was planning a free concert at the Pyramids in Giza, Egypt, today. The Egyptian Embassy in Tel Aviv reported a huge increase in visa applications from young Israelis and at least one kibbutz wanted to charter a bus for the 10-hour trek to what fans were sure would be the musical event of the year. Concert rumors spread among tourists in Cairo over the past two weeks and many tourists crossed the Sinai desert and spread the rumor to Israel.
