Anti-Abortion March Staged

About 1,200 people held an anti-abortion march and prayer vigil Thursday evening on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood asking for “forgiveness for the sin of abortion.”
The procession, which began at the Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, is an annual event held on Dec. 28 to mark the day that, according to the Bible, King Herod killed thousands of young children, said church spokesman Kenneth Fisher.
The protesters recited the Lord’s Prayer and held crucifixes and candles. Fisher said the vigil differs from the approach taken by the militant anti-abortion protesters of Operation Rescue, who block family planning clinics.
“The majority of the pro-life movement is political,” Fisher said. “This is a movement to make reparations to almighty God for the sins of abortion.”
