Pepperdine Rolls to Victory Over Northeastern
Craig Davis had 20 points to lead Pepperdine to a 105-79 victory over Northeastern on Saturday and a seventh-place finish in the Far West basketball tournament.
The Waves did most of their damage from the outside as they set a tournament single-game record with nine three-point baskets. Davis had four of them, three in the first half.
Dexter Howard added 18 points and Tom Lewis had 15 for Pepperdine (5-5). Forward Steve Carney led the Huskies (2-7) with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Howard and Lewis had 10 and 11 points respectively as Pepperdine held a 58-41 lead at halftime. Doug Christie had 11 second-half points and finished with 17 for the Waves.
