Producer Sues MGM/UA Over TV Rights: The movie company that produced “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” filed a $28-million breach-of-contract suit Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court against MGM/UA Entertainment Co. The Saul Zaentz Co. of Berkeley accused MGM/UA with licensing two of its films--”Cuckoo’s Nest” and “Lord of the Rings”--in packages with lesser films and of failing to pay Zaentz its fair share of the proceeds.
