Irvine Sensors Corp.: The Costa Mesa-based developer of infrared systems and computer electronics reported a loss of $833,100 for fiscal 1989, compared to a loss of $937,800 for fiscal 1988. Revenue rose slightly, to $3 million for the year ended Oct. 1 from $2.97 million. James Alexiou, president, said the company started several jobs for manufacturers who are evaluating the use of its stacking technology for computer memories, although they did not affect the results for fiscal 1989. “These are our first commercial sales, and they hold the potential for breaking our reliance on the government marketplace,” he said.
