Bill Curry, who coached a bittersweet season at Alabama, went job-hunting at the University of Kentucky.
Despite a 10-2 record, a share of the Southeastern Conference title and SEC coach-of-the-year honors, Curry has been criticized by some fans and alumni who favored hiring someone with ties to Alabama. Curry came from Georgia Tech in 1987.
Curry, accompanied by his wife, Carolyn, and son, Bill, spend the day touring the Kentucky campus and visiting with athletic officials. Today he is scheduled to meet the screening committee.
