YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. — Park rangers searched Thursday for a coyote that mauled a cross-country skier in the worst such attack in at least a decade.
Brian Dean, 27, of Oak Lawn, Ill., was listed in good condition at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital in Montana, where he was treated for cuts and puncture wounds to his head, neck and arms. Doctors were deciding whether to treat him for rabies.
The attack was the boldest in a series of aggressive acts by coyotes in recent weeks, Yellowstone spokeswoman Joan Anzelmo said.
