IRS Records Confirms Offers: Jay Boberg, president of the independent record label IRS, said reports that IRS will be sold soon are exaggerated. “We are not uninterested in the concept,” he said of reports that the Studio City label has entertained offers of $25 million to $30 million from several industry giants, including Polygram, MCA and EMI.
