GM to Build Cars in Hungary: General Motors Corp. formally announced that it has reached a tentative agreement with Hungarian government-owned auto maker RABA to jointly build cars and engines at a plant under construction in Szentgotthard, near the Austrian border, beginning in 1992. The deal makes GM the first U.S. auto maker to invest in Eastern Europe. GM spokesman R. L. Theis, said the company will invest $150 million.
