KING IN O.C.: Martin Luther King Jr. did, in fact, make an Orange County appearance, but it takes a long memory to recall it. . . . King, billed merely as “minister and author,” spoke at Chapman College on Dec. 10, 1961, on “Nonviolence and Racial Justice.” On the anniversary of his birth Monday, he was honored in Santa Ana (B1) and across the nation (A4).
