Soccer referee Toros Kibritjian, who was fired by the Major Indoor Soccer League in 1986 after the publication of his controversial autobiography, has been reinstated and is officiating in the MISL this season.

Kibritjian, who has more than 30 years of international experience, was terminated in the middle of a one-year contract because MISL officials said passages in his book indicated he was not objective and impartial. Kibritjian, who is from Monterey Park, sued in November, 1987.

The suit was settled late last year. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed, but in addition to his reinstatement, Kibritjian received a monetary award.
