Club Donates Funds for Village Bank
CLAREMONT —
The Sunrise Rotary Club has donated $2,500 to the Foundation for International Community Assistance to establish a bank in a Mexican village, club officials announced. The foundation’s village banking involves the distribution of small loans, averaging about $60 each, to families living in impoverished Latin American communities for investment in small enterprises.
