WESTMINSTER : Fry Chosen to Head Solid Waste Board
City Councilman Frank Fry has been selected chairman of the Orange County Solid Waste Enforcement Board.
Fry, 64, was appointed to serve on the seven-member board by the Orange County League of Cities.
The board is responsible for enforcing regulations at the county’s four dumps: Olinda, Coyote Canyon, Santiago Canyon and Prima Deshecha.
Fry is a retired Von’s grocery store employee and has lived in Westminster since 1957.
A former mayor, he was first elected to the City Council in 1966. With the exception of 1980-84, he has served on the council every year since.
