Lamanda Park, a Pasadena neighborhood, was once part of the Sunny Slope Ranch, a 1,300-acre vineyard that produced brandy, sherry, port and dessert wines. Before selling the ranch in 1887, owner Leonard Rose subdivided a portion and gave it his wife’s first name, Amanda, and the initial of his first name.
