After two public hearings, a workshop and a pilot program last year, the year-old Pasadena Arts Commission has created new funding guidelines for the $180,000 Grants-in-Aid Program for 1990.
Four funding eligibility categories and guidelines were approved Tuesday by the Board of Directors. They are: Category 1--Pasadena-based, nonprofit organizations with annual budgets of more than $500,000 are eligible for maximum grants of $45,000; Category 2--Pasadena-based nonprofit groups more than 3 years old can receive maximum grants of $7,500 with a matching fund-raising requirement of one-to-one; Category 3--Pasadena-based nonprofit groups less than 3 years old are eligible for grants of up to $5,000 with a matching fund-raising requirement of two-to-one; and Category 4--individual artists who live and work in Pasadena can receive $5,000 fellowships.
