Congratulations on Shaw’s carefully researched expose of the media frenzy, pack journalism, careless reporting and the competitive zeal that sends reporters off in a frantic search to be the first member of the lynch mob with the latest shocking allegations--as in the coverage of the McMartin case.
How about applying the same scrutiny to the mindless ways newspapers, TV and radio have pedaled the lies of former Federal Home Loan Bank Board Chairman Ed Gray, and the careless coverage and endless repetition of all the many false allegations made in the Keating Five affair slandering me and four other senators--including two war heroes, John Glenn and John McCain--whose integrity has never before been impugned?
