U.S. to Absolve Debt of 10 Africa Nations

WASHINGTON —
The United States will absolve 10 African countries of about $305 million in debt, the U.S. Agency for International Development said Wednesday.
The countries are Benin, Cameroon, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Nigeria and Zaire. All 10 nations are pursuing approved economic reform programs.
