Scott Gets Animated: Oscar- and Emmy-winning actor George C. Scott will move to the toon world as the voice of the evil drug-pusher Smoke in an animated anti-substance abuse special for children. The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences show, “Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue,” will deliver its anti-drug message on ABC, CBS and NBC on April 21. It will be the first time a cartoon special will be simulcast by the three networks. The show will also air on independent and cable stations in the United States, and on stations in Canada, Mexico and other foreign countries.
