Inglewood to Seek Spot in Rose Parade
In an attempt to give the city a rosier image, Inglewood plans to apply for a spot in next year’s Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena.
The City Council agreed to spend $150,000 to build a float, although the city must receive approval from the Tournament of Roses Assn. before it can participate. A decision is expected in April or May. Inglewood Mayor Edward Vincent said the float would give the city an opportunity to show off the All-America City award it received last year from the National Civic League.
