Businesses Struggle in W. Hollywood

Share

My rent has gone up 90% over the past three years. What does the rent-control city of West Hollywood do for its struggling businesses? Exempt us from controls and whip up a new business license tax to pay for their next spending spree.

And does the City Council think we are stupid? Once their nifty tax is in place, we can brace ourselves each year for their annual tax increase.

With our livelihoods at stake, we owners must elect a more prudent City Council in the upcoming April 10 election. We have our storefront windows, we have our voices and we have our customers who want to see us stay in business.

I urge my fellow business owners to join the fight and help elect a City Council that will stop harassing us with new taxes.
