New Image Industries’ Net Income Jumps 134%

New Image Industries, the Canoga Park maker of computer systems for hairdressers and designers, said its net income for the second quarter that ended Dec. 31 jumped 134% to $413,000 from $177,000 a year before. The company’s sales more than doubled to $3.41 million from $1.32 million for the same period a year earlier.

For the six months that ended Dec. 31, net income rose 153% to $642,000 from $253,000. Six-month sales increased 92% to $5.53 million from $2.87 million last year.
