Simi Man Arrested in Shasta County Death
A Simi Valley man was arrested in Redding in the death of a Cottonwood man, Shasta County sheriff’s officers said Monday.
Detective Sgt. Rusty Brewer said Eric Warner, 25, was arrested in connection with the death of Felix Wusstig, 38, who was found dead Dec. 12 in his burned-out pickup truck near a Coleman Fish Hatchery.
Brewer said Warner, Wusstig and a third man, who was being sought, were searching for wood to cut when they got into a dispute in which alcohol was involved. Wusstig apparently was shot in the neck, and his body and truck were set afire, officers said.
