Clippers Sign Ex-Jazz Player to 10-Day Pact
The Clippers, short in the back court because of injuries to Ron Harper and Gary Grant, today signed Jim Les to a 10-day contract.
Les, waived by Utah on Nov. 6, averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds in 13 games with Santa Barbara of the Continental Basketball Assn.
Les played in 82 games for the Jazz last season, averaging 1.7 points and 2.6 assists in 10 minutes.
Harper is lost for the season with a knee injury.
Grant will miss about three months because of a broken and dislocated ankle. He underwent 90-minute surgery Monday to have a plate and five screws inserted in his left ankle to help the broken and dislocated joint heal.
