Buyout of Jorgensen Challenged: Earle M. Jorgensen Co. said a lawsuit opposing its planned merger with Kelso & Co., a New York-based merchant bank, has been filed against the Lynwood-based firm and its directors. Kelso & Co. is to acquire Jorgensen, a metal parts distributor, under an agreement announced Jan. 30. The suit, filed in a Wilmington, Del., court, alleges that the buyout is unfair to Jorgensen shareholders.
