Employees of the Baldwin Park Unified School District have raised more than $30,000 for the East Valley Boys and Girls Club of Baldwin Park.
The money, collected over three years, will be used to help build the city’s Community Center, a $5-million complex expected to open in June.
It will house the club and include a gymnasium, boxing and weight training facilities, an arts and crafts center, a child-care center, classrooms and administrative offices for the city’s recreational staff.
