THIS WEEK
BINGO ON TAP: The Long Beach school board is scheduled Monday to discuss the fate of bingo games in high schools. The meeting begins at 4 p.m. at 701 Locust Avenue.
SCHOOL JOB OPEN: Lynwood school board members Tuesday are expected to discuss finding a successor for ousted Supt. LaVoneia Steele. Associate Supt. Audrey Clarke has served as interim superintendent since Jan. 29, when the board bought out the remainder of Steele’s three-year contract.
RODEO DRIVE: The Flying U Rodeo will celebrate its 61st year of continuous rodeo roughhousing by returning to the Long Beach Arena Saturday with performances at 1 and 7:30 p.m.
