Gardeners Sought to ‘Adopt’ Schools

Gardeners who enjoy working with children can join a new Los Angeles-area group, Gardening Angels, which “adopts” schools that have asked for help in starting a garden.

Volunteers--amateurs and experts--will receive two days of training, Tuesday and 20, under the sponsorship of a coalition that includes University of California Master Gardeners, the Southern California Horticultural Institute, Los Angeles Beautiful and the Los Angeles State and County Arboretum.
