Hilton Weighs Buyout Offers: Hilton Hotels Corp. said it is evaluating a number of acquisition proposals but would not identify the bidders. Last August, Hilton began to publicly welcome buyout offers. The Beverly Hills-based firm would not comment on a report that it may soon receive a bid from a group led by NWA Inc. Chairman Alfred A. Checchi. Hilton’s board has reviewed some proposals, but the company said it is still willing to consider new buyout offers.
