SHORT TAKES : Billy Idol Has 4th Operation

British rock star Billy Idol was listed in fair condition Thursday after undergoing a fourth operation on his right leg, broken in a motorcycle accident eight days ago, his press agent said.
Idol, 34, was driving home without a helmet after having finished recording an album, “Charmed Life,” when his Harley-Davidson motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car, police said.
Idol, whose hits include “White Wedding” and “Dancing with Myself,” is expected to be in the hospital another two weeks, press agent Ellen Golden added.
