The NBA has rewarded Commissioner David Stern for helping make it a highly successful venture by making him the highest-paid commissioner in pro sports. His new five-year contract calls for $27.5 million, including a $10-million bonus.
Paul Tagliabue of the NFL is paid $1 million a year, baseball’s Fay Vincent $500,000 and the NHL’s John Ziegler $425,000.
