‘I’ve Got Mine’ Got His in Win First Time Back
I’ve Got Mine, racing for the first time in three months, coasted to a four-length victory in the Chief Tamanaco purse at Aqueduct on Thursday.
The victory was the fifth in eight career starts for the 4-year-old owned by Edwin Wachtel.
Wargod was second in the seven-horse field, finishing a length in front of If You Please.
I’ve Got Mine was ridden by Mike Smith and covered the six furlongs on a fast track in 1:11.
The winner returned $4, $3 and $2.80 as the favorite. Wargod paid $7.20 and $6.40, and If You Please was $7.20 to show.
